In keeping with the season and our last blog entry, we are
continuing our hunt for fun holiday gifts at various Carmel Valley wineries and
their neighboring businesses.
Here's some of what we've found so far...
~A sleek tin of dark chocolate drops which pair well with
Pinot Noir for $8.00 at the Boekenoogen
Tasting Room
~A bag of Pinoir Noir
Chocolate Cherries at Talbott for
$8.50
~A sparkly wine purse hanger for $12.50 or corkscrew key
chains at Cima Collina
~Olive oil from two places in the valley:
-No. 13 olive oil made from
Arbequina olives grown right here in the valley for $19 or $29 depending on the
size at Jan de Luz at 1 East Carmel
Valley Road.
-Quail and the Olive shop has lots of
different California olive oils and vinegars and other products at their newly
opened location at 3 Pilot Road, right next to the Red Pear, which also has some wonderful
homescape gifts.
~Jewelry by Kathy Klawans Smith, art by Alyssa Ramp and
Caroline Mitchell at Chesebro.
~Books, tablecloths, bags, masks and much more at the very
eclectic gift shop at Georis.
Of course there are the wine glasses, hats, t-shirts, and
sweatshirts with the winery's name and logo for those loyal fans of any
particular winery. And, ta-da--there's all
that fabulous wine, either as solo bottles or in festive gift baskets.
So wherever you live, there are lots of intriguing goodies
from Carmel Valley wineries and businesses that could provide some of your
favorite people with delightful gifts for the holidays. Happy shopping!
